Mike Stollen - Fog Of Deceit

Hope for little dreams
May they seem
Life is for the young
When you’re numb
And you play
The grief ain’t always done
With your hopes
With your dreams
They never seem to be
What they say
When you pray
God is never there
I have never felt the presence
She’s not even there
I can’t wait to be dazzled
Take what is yours
Leave what’s mine
Don’t be left behind
If you say it’s OK
I’ve got no reason to hide
All my visions
Of the world
Came to be just smoke
In a swamp, a desert place
I guess it’s all a joke
I have never felt the presence
She’s not even there
I can’t wait to be dazzled
I can’t help bring followed
Through a fog of deceit
I know time can’t be borrowed
To dispose of the grief
And though I believe it
I can’t help to feel amazed
If you think of the future
Gets you dazed
“ One thing is sure, a great change of our psychological attitude is
imminent, that is certain.
Because we need more … we need more psychology. We need more understanding
of human nature because the only real danger that exists is man himself.
He is the great danger and we are pitifully unaware of it. We know nothing
of man. Far too little. His psyche should be studied because we are the
origin of all coming evil. “ - Carl Gustav Jung
